astrostart car starter?

OK... I need a remote car starter, and "supposedly" astrostarts are the best. I want 2-way so it can tell me my car started.
my question is, the standard astrostarts (RSS-2524) have a 2,000 foot range. and I park my car a city block

I will tell you that buildings and electrical interference could be the problem,I have auto-start on my truck,I had it done in Chicago and I could not get mine to work from about 200 feet but when I moved to Alabama I had no problems.
